Grace and Peace to you from the Manhattan United Methodist Church!

My name is Becky Bartelt and I am the new pastor at MUMC. I began my work here on July 15, 2008. I came from the town of Polo, IL. While I was there, I served two churches, Brookville and Elkhorn United Methodist Churches. I also recently graduated from seminary at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. (December 2007)

All of these experiences have prepared me well for being the pastor here in Manhattan. I learned about the value of small towns, heritage, and community. The people at Manhattan have already shown me great hospitality. And, I know that they are willing to share this hospitality with all who enter this place.

Whether you are new to the area, or have been around for a long time, we invite you to come and be a part of our church community. We seek to be a place where people can experience God's love, and we invite you to be a part of this our mission. We welcome you regardless of your previous church experience. We still would love to have you join us in learning together what it means to live in God's amazing love.
